Our hero is not good in playing all games. He is clean bold on the very 1st ball he play and try to cheat in childish way. Hero’s pet is a local Indian street dong. Which is opposite to what middle and upper class do now a days ie adopting hybrid or foreign breeds.
A reporter ask non slum people see the slum, and they reply a place for criminals and gundas. while slum is place were hard working people live. And actually criminal are living in big lavish houes and posh colonies. Movie show how gunda become politician & reach in top ministry using religious sentiments of people.
Villain’s thinking (role played by Nana patekar) is clearly shown and is confirmed with the use of names like Manu for construction company, yes the writer of Manu ismriti from 1st – 2nd century AD. I will suggest you to read the hindi or english translation of Manu ismriti, pdf to which are easily available on the internet.
Nana have done a similar movie, Krantiveer in 1994, directed by Mehul Kumar.
You will see hero been referred to as Ravan by villain and considering himself Ram, you would not see such reference in a bollywood movie. This movie Thus show us the other end of the line.
Villain is given a line which is, Kaala, kaisa naam hai yeh! ghin aathi hai hai ise to which entire song is a reply.
